Church Leadership
Born in South Africa to American church planting missionaries, Matt spent most of his childhood there before trusting Jesus as his Savior at a young age. As a teenager he felt called to serve the Lord in ministry, and went on to study at Bible College in the United States, where he met his wife Ericka.
Matt has been involved in volunteer ministry from an early age, and has served in full time church ministry since 2008. Since 2015 he has been ministering in Scotland, and in 2025 the Lord drew Matt and Ericka to Cove Bay, Aberdeen, where they have recently put down roots with a passion to plant a church and build a place where people can come to know and follow Jesus Christ. Matt and Ericka have two daughters, Ellee and Graycee, and together they are excited to call Cove Bay home.

Born and raised in a small town in Arkansas, in the Southern United States, Ericka did not grow up in church, but came to know Jesus when her best friend led her to the Lord at school. She began attending a local Baptist church, where her faith grew, and she found a passion for serving — getting actively involved in both the children's and music ministries.
Feeling called to serve the Lord with the rest of her life, Ericka enrolled in Bible College, where she met Matt. She has walked alongside him in full time church ministry ever since, and together they have built a life centred around their faith and their family. Ericka brings a warm heart and a passion for people to everything she does, and is excited to be part of what God is building in Cove Bay, Aberdeen.
